Carrie’s and Arpita’s work on molecular evolution of X linked genes in Tribolium posted on bioRxiv!

This collaborative work by Carrie and Arpita shows that, in contrast to what has been observed in some other animals, X-linked genes in the beetle Tribolium castaneum evolve slower, not faster, than genes on autosomes! To do this work, we generated new RNA-seq libraries from T. castaneum male and female gonads and somatic tissues, which are available at SRA BioProject PRJNA564136.
