Chiamaka worked in the Extavour Lab during the spring semester of 2008, her sophomore year at Harvard, with Franz Kainz on cricket segmentation.  She graduated in May 2010 with a degree in Neurobiology. She is currently a Neurobiology and Behavior PhD student at Columbia University.
