Sarah joined our lab as a Systems Biology Undergraduate intern following her second year student at University of Nebraska at Omaha. For her undergraduate degree, she is majoring in Bioinformatics with a minor in Computer Science.

At her home institution, she is a member of the Cooper lab focusing on reproducible application of computational analysis on biomedical data. She has worked on bulk RNA sequence analysis and have been building a workflow for 16S rRNA sequence analysis in a collaboration project between the Cooper lab and the Clayton lab.

During the summer of 2024 in the Extavour lab, Sarah studied various aspects of cell migration using CompuCell3D, a software for cell migration simulation. Outside of the lab, Sarah enjoys trying new coffee shops.
